BSH Home Appliances Group reported a turnover of €15 billion for the 2025 financial year. Adjusted for exchange rate effects, this represents a 1.6% decline compared to 2024, while in local currency terms the company achieved growth of 2.8%. Sales increased across key regions, including North America, Europe, and Emerging Markets.
BSH, the manufacturer behind brands such as Bosch, NEFF, Siemens, and Gaggenau, remains Europe’s largest home appliance producer and a leading global player in the sector.
CEO Dr. Matthias Metz commented: “We have weathered difficult times well. It was a year with a lot of headwinds, but it showed that our roadmap for the future is working.”
Market Challenges and Strategic Progress
The 2025 financial year was shaped by ongoing challenges, including weak real estate markets and geopolitical tensions. Despite this, BSH highlighted strong performance in growth markets as evidence that its long-term strategy is delivering results.
The company attributed its resilience to a strong brand portfolio, clear strategic direction, targeted investments, and a product range tailored to evolving market demands. These factors helped strengthen its position in key regions while unlocking new growth opportunities.
Product Segment Performance
BSH reported mixed performance across its product categories:
- Cooking segment: Returned to growth, with oven sales rising by 2.0% and hobs and extractor hoods increasing by 2.6%, driven by demand for integrated extractor solutions.
- Dishwashing: Up 2.1% year-on-year.
- Consumer products: Slight growth of 0.1%.
- Customer service: Continued expansion, with sales increasing by 0.3%.
However, some segments experienced declines:
- Refrigeration: Down 4.0%.
- Laundry care: Down 1.0%.
Outlook for 2026
Looking ahead, BSH expects continued market volatility and does not anticipate a significant recovery in 2026.
Metz stated: “A real recovery of the markets is not foreseeable. We do not expect any tailwinds in 2026 either. But we have the foundation to prove ourselves even in difficult markets.”
He emphasized that the company will remain focused on resilience and long-term investment: “Our guiding principle is to demonstrate resilience and invest in the future. That is exactly what we did in 2025, and what we will continue to do consistently and vigorously in 2026.”
BSH’s strategy remains centered on shaping markets through decisive action and consistent execution of its long-term roadmap.
