The küchentrends 2012 trade fair closed with a record number of exhibitors and visitors and as such, 2012 was considered the best küchentrends fair to date.

A total of 2,290 trade visitors (compared to 1,735 the previous year) from southern Germany, Austria, and Switzerland attended the industry’s key rendezvous over a two-day period (27th and 28th march 2012) at the Moc in Munich.

This represented an increase of 32% from the previous year. Some 1,200 trade visitors attended on the 27th of march, while on the 28th of march the number was a similar 1,090. Overall this was a visitor record for the küchentrends fair, which has taken place for the fifth time now.

Another record was set with the 120 premium exhibitors and brands (the number was 116 the previous year) from the sectors: accessories, worktops, taps, benches, services, kitchen extractor hoods, household appliances, lighting, institutions, kitchen furniture, furniture, software/it, sinks, chairs, tables, associations and fittings. the küchentrends fair was fully booked for exhibitors.

The growth of the küchentrends fair this year considerably exceeded expectations and the 32 percent increase in trade visitors represents a sensational result. One of the reasons for this strong increase is the rise in numbers of trade visitors from Austria.

In an initial appraisal the küchentrends fair, exhibitors were mentioning the many valuable new contacts, the high quality of trade visitors and the generally positive atmosphere. The new product sections fitted in very well and is a real enhancement to the overall show offering the visitors a chance to see some Ultimate Kitchens.

The 16 high-calibre podium events were attended by approximately 1,500 people.
