Amica UK sees 50% sales growth

Amica's UK branch was the group's most “dynamic” for sales in 2014, seeing more than 50% growth last year while the business as a whole experienced a 22% increase in revenues to reach PLN 2bn – around £350.5m.

Last year, Amica entered new markets including Spain, Portugal, Iran, Iraq, Moocco, Vietnam and Australia to sell its ranges of built-in and freestanding appliances. The cooling, ovens and hobs and freestanding cookers categories experienced growth in 2014.
“The independent electrical and kitchen retailer has been loyal to Amica over recent years. By building on this solid foundation with new products, technology and services the brand is now in a position to grow exponentially on the groundworks we have all worked so hard to lay,” said UK & Ireland country manager Simon Freear.

“Consumer awareness is growing and with the new extended range of induction hobs, hoods and a new suite of cooking products including double ovens in all fuels, the brand is poised to achieve great things in the UK and Ireland." Simon concludes, "..the UK is a very important market to Amica and those doing business with us can expect exciting things during 2015/16.”

Amica dates back to 1957 when the first Amica gas/coal cooker was produced in Wronki, Poland. Fifty years later, and they are now producing a whole range of stylish, modern, energy-efficient household appliances designed to make customers lives that much easier. With Amica freestanding and integrated cookers, ovens, fridges, freezers, washing machines, dishwashers, cooker hobs, microwaves and more available from many top UK home and kitchen appliance retailers, today the company is almost unrecognisable from the small operation which began in the 1950s – but Amica are proud to still retain their core values and a commitment to providing intuitive, ergonomic technological solutions to household problems.
